20k in 20 days – Tyrone McCullagh hits the roads for charity

Derry boxer Tryone McCullagh is on a 20k a day for 20 days straight mission.

‘White Chocolate’ will run the sizable distance for nigh on a month in a bid to raise money for charity.

McCullagh is noted in the boxing world for his running ability and times, indeed some have seriously questioned if with training he could run professionally.

He has been on the road for a week now and has 13 more days left on his charity mission. All proceeds raised with go to Foyle Foodbank and you can donate HERE.

Speaking online McCullagh explained:

“On Wednesday I let Tyrone McKenna talk me into running 20K a day for 20 days straight for charity. In fairness, it is a great idea and very unselfish of him to nominate me to do it! Jokes aside though, I started these runs today (what a day to start it was horrendous) and I will be finishing on Christmas Eve (day 20) It’s going to be very tough both physically and mentally but I am confident on getting it done.

“I’ve decided to give any money raised to the Foyle Foodbank considering the time of year I think it’ll be a massive help to them. I will have a just giving link up on my social media this weekend for donations and I’ll be very grateful of anything that is donated. Thanks in advance.”
