Third fighter added to next Red Corner Promotions show

Kildare super featherweight Allan Phelan [6(4)-2(1)-1] has become the third fighter confirmed for next February’s Red Corner Promotions show at the National Stadium.

It will be an Irish debut for the Newbridge man who has served a tough apprenticeship in North America and has since been ticking over in Paschal Collins’s Celtic Warriors Gym.

Out of the ring for two years due to injury and a general lack of opportunities, Phelan had been scheduled to fight on the cancelled December 3rd FS Promotions show.

Phelan joins Cork welter Noely Murphy and Derry light middle Connor Coyle on the card, which is the second effort from Red Corner Promotions. The newcomers outlined how “the onus is on Allan to prove himself now to Irish fight fans and we’re eager to see how he progresses.”
