FORMER Irish heavyweight and super heavyweight amateur standout Con Sheehan can boast Gullerimo Rigondeaux and Hassan N’Dam as promotional stable mates, but now has Amir Khan, Andre Ward and Abner Mares as gym buddies.
Not long after agreeing pro terms with Gary Hyde the 6’5 boxer has teamed up with world renowned trainer Virgil Hunter. Hunter has trained Olympic gold medal winner and world super middleweight champion Ward since he was 9, has been credited with Amir Khan’s return to form and is a respected trainer across the globe.
Sheehan, 25 will relocated to San Francisco to train full time with the American, he tweeted today:
