More Irish boxers have Mexico bouts confirmed
There will be a very green tint in Mexico next month.
Ireland’s youngest pro, Cork lightweight James Power [1(1)-0], has his second fight at the Rancho Grande Bar in Tijuana on Saturday November 3rd and the 17-year-old will be joined on the bill by Waterford welterweight Dylan Moran [6(4)-0] who steps up to eight rounds and Irish title eligibility.
Following this, two more Irish fighters have been confirmed on the bill.
Cork middleweight Vladimir Belujsky [5(5)-1(0)-1] will box on the card as he makes his return from a broken scaphoid bone in his hand.
This injury saw Belujsky forced to pull out of his BUI Celtic title fight with Nick Quigley at the start of the month and his comeback will see him make the move up to eight rounds that was planned for the National Basketball Arena on October 6th.
The Slovak-born Mitchelstown man has fought thrice in Mexico this year with three early finishes.
Finally, there is also a spot on the show for Belfast super featherweight Mathew Fitzsimons [3(2)-1(1)].
‘The Freak’ is making his return from a shock loss last time out in Liverpool back in July.
22-year-old Fitzsimons was sensationally stopped by Taka Bembere in the closing seconds of the fourth and final round of their clash having been on top for the previous three stanzas.
Opponents for all four Irish boxers will be confirmed in due course.
