McVarnock brings back the spirit of Bunty Doran

With Just under two weeks left until the first professional boxing show in Ireland in 2015 gets underway at the Devenish Complex, Finaghy Road North , Belfast, there is a buzz of excitement growing around the much anticipated return of North Belfast prospect Ciaran McVarnock.

McVarnock (2-0), 22, from the Antrim Road area of Belfast is the great nephew of legendary Belfast boxer Bunty Doran. The unbeaten prospect is signed to boxing guru Frank Warren and is based in Manchester and trained my another boxing great in Anthony Farnell who trains IBF Bantamweight Champion, Paul Butler, both will be in is corner for his home debut.

When asked how he felt about is home debut Ciaran replied “I bring a big crowd, I am exciting and I will steal the show!”

The great line up dubbed “Stand & Deliver” is co headlined by 21 year old featherweight sensation James Tennyson & the talented lightweight Paul “Hylo” Hyland, both boxers looking to progress up the rankings.

Concluding the card will be Tyrone McKenna (Belfast) Darren Cruise (Roscommon) Alan Donnellan (Galway) & Michael McKinson (Portsmouth).
