Katie Taylor Makes Young Fans Dream Come True

Katie Taylor stepped inside the ropes for the penultimate time before her last dance this Saturday at Dublin’s iconic Croke Park – and then made one young girl’s dream come true.

Just days before Taylor’s own fairytale story comes to an end in front of 80,000 fans – live worldwide on DAZN and non-exclusively in Ireland on RTÉ – the legendary Irish fighter invited an aspiring fighter to join her in the ring at Wednesday’s Open Workout.

Taylor was welcomed to a thunderous reception from the sold-out crowd in attendance at The Helix as she was put through her paces by trainer Ross Enamait.

Then she ushered in the young schoolgirl, who was reduced to tears after meeting her idol and Ireland’s greatest ever sportsperson, in a fitting moment which highlights the incredible legacy Taylor will leave behind when the curtain falls down on her illustrious career this weekend.

Taylor takes on France’s undefeated Flora Pili with the Undisputed Super Lightweight Titles on the line.

As a monumental night at Croke Park awaits, delivered by Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing in association with Aiken Promotions and Brian Peters, Pili showed she is ready for the biggest night of her life as he share a glimpse of her skills in the ring, whilst the undercard were involved too as they get set for tomorrow’s Press Conference.

Taylor vs Pili is sponsored by Title Event Partners Lidl Ireland, along with sponsors Paddy Power, Domino’s Ireland, Everlast, That Prize Guy, Ten Percent Club, ALP and Riyadh Season.
