JOYCE AIMING FOR BRIL PERFORMANCE IN ALMATY

David Oliver Joyce will be aiming for an early Christmas present in Kazakhstan on Saturday.

The three-time European Union Elite champion meets Germany’s Artur Bril, an opponent he has beaten in the past, in his third AIBA Pro Boxing (APB) fight.

Joyce has won one fight and lost one heading into Saturday’s six-rounder in Almaty.

“David is in fantastic shape and looking ahead to his third APB outing on Saturday,” said Irish head coach Billy Walsh, who will be working Joyce’s corner with John Conlan in Central Asia.
