Hogan impress against Abril in America and I secure ‘cracking’ fight

A good performance at Niagara Falls on Friday night will Dennis Hogan crack America and secure a ‘cracking’ fight.

Having taking Australia by storm ‘The Hurricane’ is now intent on making a name for himself Stateside and fights in the USA for the third time this coming Friday night.

The Kildare natives clash with Kenny Abril (14-7-1, 7 KOs) of Rochester, New York will play out  at Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino in Niagara Falls and on  live on CBS Sports.

Hogan, who is world ranked with two governing bodies, knows a good  display will win him fans and secure him a big fight.

“I am hoping a great performance here  puts us in another league and I know without saying too much the team are working very hard to secure a cracker of a fight for me with a win here,” said Hogan.

With a World ranking in his back pocket and every title you can win in Australia there have been those calling for the Kildare man to fight fighters in the top 5. However, Hogan explains he has to earn his stripes Stateside before he can secure a mega clash.

“This is my third fight over here and I am building my name slowly. I could have stayed in Australia and kept moving forward. I was told that by going to the States I would take 10 steps back as I am a nobody here, but long term this is where the big fights are and I have to prove myself all over again.

Some people are saying I should be fighting top 5 fighters, I would love to, but i have to show the Americans what I can do first.”
