Hearn has improved offer waiting for Frampton

EDDIE Hearn will send Carl Frampton an improved offer to put his IBF super bantamweight World title on the line against Scott Quigg, if both come through their respective bouts on Saturday night (July 18).

The pair had discussed trading leather on July 18, before very public negotiations broke down, but talk re the much anticipated clash hasn’t gone away despite the fact Quigg will battle with Kiko Martinez and ‘The Jackal’ will fight live on CBS and ITV on Saturday.

However, Matchroom boss Hearn isn’t giving up and remains keen to make the match up- indeed Team Frampton have stated they would take it if the terms were agreeable-has an offer ready for the Belfast man and will put it on the table if both win tomorrow.

Team Quigg have been talking about fighting Nonito Donaire next but speaking to Sky Sports Hearn said:

“They [Frampton’s camp] say that Quigg brings no value to the table yet all they have done in the week leading up to Frampton’s American debut is talk about Scott Quigg!

“All being well on Saturday, we will go back to them and try and make the fight with an improved offer. I won’t hold my breath though.

“All of this is immaterial unless Scott gets the job done tomorrow. The focus is 100% on Martinez. It’s the toughest fight of Scott’s career.”
