FULL FIGHT: Jason Quigley beats Glen Tapia
Donegal middleweight Jason Quigley [13(10)-0] scored the toughest win of his career last night.
The Golden Boy starlet took a unanimous decision victory over the game Glen Tapia [23(15)-4(3)] at the Fantasy Springs in Indion, California to claim the NABF rankings belt.
A fast start from QUigley saw him tire and be dragged into a war in the middle rounds, but the Ballybofey man, who injured his right hand in the bout, rebounded well to use his boxing skill and take a deserved win.
The, pehaps overly wide, scorecards read 100:90, 99:91, 98:92, in the Irishman’s favour.
