Big Tommy McCarthy to make Pro debut in May

Belfast Heavyweight Big Tommy McCarthy will make his Professional debut on May 24th at the Dewsbury Leisure Centre in Yorkshire.

23-year-old McCarthy, a bronze medal winner at the 2008 AIBA World Youths, reached the last eight at the World Championships in Kazakhstan in October a 2013 and is a former Commonwealth Games silver-medalist.

The graduate of the Oliver Plunkett BC in Belfast is now managed by Pat Magee who helped Brain Magee become a world champion. 

An opponent has yet to be confirmed for egerly awaited debut.
