Shorty looking to get busy after Hatton deal failed to materailise

Stephen Carroll is determined not to let the fact a deal with Ricky Hatton didn’t materalise hamper his fight progress.

The Dublin lightweight went to Manchester in a bid to win a contract with the British boxing legend, who trains the Upton brothers, but came back without signing on the dotted line.

The 23 year old, however remains unperturbed and is chomping at the bit and ready for a return to action.

‘Shorty,’ who has one win from one pro fight hopes to be out again in November on a Red Cow hosted show and is keen to get busy over the coming year.

“It didn’t work out over with Hatton so I will move on,” Carroll said.

“I want to get fights, keep busy and build my name. I hope to be out again in November and we will go from there. I am just keen to get fighting.”
