Former Irish champion and current World heavyweight champion Tyson Fury isn’t the biggest of fans, claiming he and not Conor McGregor is the real fighting pride of Ireland and also accusing the UFC featherweight champion of copying his style.
However, the newest addition to the heavyweight World title honours list Anthony Joshua- who also has Irish heritage– is a fan of the former Crumlin BC amateur.
The British boxer won the IBF title by beating Charles Martin in two rounds on Saturday spoke highly of the Dubliner who he regards as a fellow warrior.
“I like everything about Conor McGregor. I love what he’s doing for the sport of UFC as well and I hope he doesn’t lose because it’s a fickle world. One minute everyone’s on your back, you’re the flavour of the month. Take a loss, everyone writes you off,” Joshua told Heavyw8 News:
