McMahon lands in Mexico ahead of World title fight with She Wolf

Christina McMahon lands in Mexico today ahead of her third World title set for March 12.

Ireland’s leading pro challenges WBC Super Flyweight World Champion Zulina “Loba” Munoz, who has held the title since 2012, in ten days time and has gone to Mexico to acclimatize pre her third World title fight in a year and the first at her natural weight.

‘Lightening’ under went her last session of an intense training Camp at St Teresa boxing club Bray yesterday before jetting of to Mexico for the massive fight. 

Speaking to Irish-boxing.com last month about the World title fight McMahon said

“I am going into the lions den, but that is not something new to me, I’ve fought abroad of my life. Am I fazed about having to go to Mexico? You would be silly if you weren’t a little bit, but I’m definitely up for and excited for the challenge. Sometimes the more somebody is known to be good.”

“I think it is going to be an excellent fight. The Mexicans know that my record doesn’t show the true me, and that they said that I am a dangerous fighter. They are expecting a mighty fight, and actually so am I, and I do come to win.”
