VIDEO: Dean Byrne’s stylish win on Sky Sports
Dean Byrne put on something of a boxing clinic last night on Sky Sports.
The Dublin welterweight outpointed Jamie Robinson on the undercard of Kell Brook’s IBF welterweight title defence against Kevin Bizier at the Sheffield Arena.
It was vintage Byrne in the early rounds of the bout, comprehensively outboxing the home fighter, and ‘Irish Lightning’ showed all his guile to close out the win.
The third round in particular was a joy to watch, and Byrne’s classy display had the Sky commentators purring.
The impressive win could set up future fights for the Crumlin slickster with any of the large contingent of Matchroom boxers between 140 and 147lbs
