Tommy ‘The Tiger’ Tolan continues Indian Summer

Belfast veteran middleweight Tommy Tolan won his fifth consecutive bout at the weekend with a points victory over Andrejs Loginovs.

The Tiger was the headline attraction at Belfast’s Devenish Venue, and Tolan ensured that the crowd went home happy with a win over his Latvian opponent in a close and competitive fight.

Loginovs, who had previously been defeated by Irish middleweights Conrad Cummings and Alfredo Meli, had obviously prepared well and came to win – rather than purely be an opponent – however Tolan was too strong in the end.

With the win, 41 year old Tolan improved his record to 9(4)-16(8)-1, while his Baltic foe fell to 16(9)-40(10)-1.
