Title opponent confirmed for Gearoid Clancy

Nort Beauchamp will provide the opposition when Gearoid Clancy attempts to add another title to his collection.

The New South Wales lightweight champ and recent IBO Oceanic title challenger will fight the New Zelander for the vacant WBF International lightweight strap.

It’s not a title the majority of boxing fans give credence to or an organisation they like to recognise, but it’s a good fight for the Australian based Galway puncher.

Beauchamp, who fight’s Clancy on a Neutral Corner Fight Promotion in Sydney Australia July 2, has a record of 9-1 and will travel to Oz with title ambitions of his own.

HIs sole defeat comes at the gloves of undefeated Cairo George, who he fought for the Newzeland national strap.

Clancy will be hoping to return to winning ways after he lost to Brendan Saunders back in March and the 31 year old will be looking to push his slate to 6-3.
