Spike tells new WBA Interim champ Eubank Jr to stop running

GARY O’Sullivan has told Chris Eubank Jr to stop ducking him and agree to a middleweight dust up.

‘Spike’ has been chasing a bout with the fighter, who on Saturday night claimed the WBA interim World title by stopping Russia’s Dimitry Chudinov, for over a year now and hasn’t been shy about expressing his desire to beat up the English fighter.

The Cork middleweight took to social media last night to once again call out the 25 year old, who has been talking about a Billy Joe Saunders rematch.

“Come on Chris, you must be bored walking through easy opponents that don’t test you.Stop ducking me and let’s give the fans what they want this year.

While Eubank was winning a title this week ‘Spike’ was fighting for the first time under his new promotion company, Murphy’s boxing.

The Celtic Warrior Gym fighter stopped Larry Smith and looks set to fight again in America on March 14.

“You have to aim for the top. My opponent tonight told me it was the hardest he was ever hit,” said O’Sullivan.

“He was tall and awkward with a long jab, I got him in the second anyway. I got a fantastic reception here and I’m delighted with the win,” Spike said of the fight.
