Quigg out for six months and left with metal plate in his head for life

Such was the power of this brilliant upper cut that it left Scott Quigg needing a metal plate in his head for life according to reports in England.

..

The Bury super bantamweight revealed immediately after his points defeat to Carl Frampton he suffered a broken jaw in round four of the unification fight, although upon closer inspection it seem’s as though the damage was done in the sixth stanza.

Quigg battled on and made it to the cards in the PPV fight, but had to get an operation in the days after the fight.

The former WBA World title holder will be out for six months recovering and Quigg will have a metal plate in head for the rest of his life.
