Michaela Walsh secures Commonwealth Games final spot

Team NI boxer Michaela Walsh became the first of the team to make the Commonwealth Games finals after overcoming Pinki Rani of India.

The Belfast boxer used the jab well throughout the bout to keep her dangerous opponent at bay.

The fight was in the balance going into the final round but Walsh put together some good combinations to outpoint her Indian opponent on a split decision.

Walsh will now fight World number 1 Nicola Adams in the final on Saturday.
