Lee clashes with Walker

Irish middleweight star Andy Lee will return to the ring on September 17 – the night before rivals Matthew Macklin and Darren Barker square off for the European title.

Limerick native Lee, 22-1 (16KO) will be in action against Michael Walker, 19-4-2 (12KO) at the UIC Pavilion in Chicago.

Despite having a reasonable record, Chicago native Walker’s career appears to have come off the rails in the past two years – losing four of five contests.

In July, Lee stopped James Brian Cook in five rounds in Oklahoma.
