Home advantage for Hyland

13 March 2009 – By Mark Doyle

Paulie Hyland has been promised home advantage should his proposed clash with European bantamweight champion Ian Napa come to fruition.

According to promoter Frank Maloney, the bout, which is provisionally set for May, will be staged in Dublin and highly-rated Irish middleweight Darren Sutherland will also feature on the bill.

The plan is to make Hyland the next challenger for Napa but, of course, Napa has to retain his title, Maloney explained in the Irish Daily Mail, alluding to Dappas defence against Malik Bouziane in London on March 20.

I expect him to do that, though, and then we go ahead with the Hyland fight.

Hyland will have home advantage in Dublin so itll be a great opportunity for him.

Darren Sutherland will be on the same show and if we can get a response like we did last time in Dublin [for the super-middleweights pro debut last December], itll be fantastic.
