Eddie Hearn confirms exciting Fight Camp bouts for two Irish fighters
Eddie Hearn has confirmed both Jason Quigley [18(14)-1(1)] and James Tennyson [26(23)-3(3)] have agreed terms with regard to fighting on Fight Camp.
There has been plenty of speculation surrounding both and potential fights on a four card series set to kick off come July 25.
Indeed, Irish-boxing.com reported both the Belfast and Donegal operators should appear on one of the DAZN and Sky Sports broadcast fight cards.
Speaking to Boxing Social today the Matchroom boss confirmed a middleweight clashes between Jason Quigley and Jack Cullen as well as a British lightweight title fight between James Tennyson and Gavin Gywnne have been ‘made’.
Katie Taylor is also expected appear in her eagerly anticipated world title fight with Amanda Serrano.
In terms of both Tennyson and Quigley they head into rescheduled bouts. They were meant to take on Gywnne and Cullen respectively on seperate May cards.
Former Irish and European champion, ‘Tenny’ will be afforded the chance to win the British title at the second time of asking, albeit the first time at lightweight.
Victory for the former world title challenger, who has knocked out all of his lightweight opponents, would see him remain on course for another tilt.
Quigley also has world title ambitions and believes he is a couple of wins away from a middleweight challenge.
The clash is being billed as a genuine 50-50 fight by Hearn, but Quigley will go in as favourite.
It remains a big fight for the Andy Lee trained fighter, Cullen is a live foe and fighting an English fighter live on Sky will help with the Golden Boy fighters profile this side of the Atlantic.
