Tipperary heavyweight Con Sheehan [1(0)-0] has teamed up with Peter Fury as he looks to kickstart his pro career.

The Clonmel big man has impressed at Fury’s Gym in Bolton over the last few weeks where he has been sparring Hughie Fury and heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.

Initially when he turned professional Sheehan was trained by Virgil Hunter, coach of Andre Ward and Amir Khan, out in Oakland, California, however he had been beset by frustrating visa problems that have limited his time in the States.

On the new addition to his team Peter Fury said “expect to see much of this fella real soon,” whilst Sheehan admitted that “I can’t wait to get going.”

A new date for the prospect will be announced soon.
