Cleary confirmed as captain for European Youth Championships
Olympic BC bantam Francis Cleary has been named Irish captain for the European Youth Championships which begin in Kolobrzeg, Poland next weekend.
The Galway ace is in training camp in Kolobrzeg with an eight-strong Irish team for the tournament.
Team Ireland completed test matches against Poland, Germany and Hungry in Kolobrezeg this week.
“The boys are working very hard, said Irish coach John Conlan.
“Everyone boxing well and team looking forward to the start of the championships.”
Over thirty nations will compete at the 2015 European Youth Championships.
