Steve Collins Jr warmed up for his headline slot in November with a knockout win in America last night.

Fighting at the Dropkick Murphys’s ‘Irish Festival’ at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion in Gilford, the Dublin light heavyweight scored a second round knockout of Cristiano Pedro.

The Irishman’s walk-on music was a Led Zeppelin classic, and he certainly gave Pedro a Whole Lotta Glove, putting his his man out for the count with a barrage of hooks in the second round.

It was a fourth knockout in five fights for the 26 year old who is building himself a reputation as a puncher

The win sees Collins improve his record to 9(4)-0-1 and he will aim to make it ten wins on November 5th on the Red Corner Promotions show at the National Stadium in what has been described as a ‘big fight.’
