Alfredo Meli opponent confirmed for Belfast fight night

Alfredo Meli [12(3)-0-1] will fight at home for the first time in over a year on Friday.

The Immaculata middleweight boxes on the Ginley Promotions ‘Dust Up at the Devenish’ card in West Belfast.

His opponent at the Devenish Complex will be Hungarian Laszlo Fazekas [30(27)-26(3)-1].

The Budapest boxer is one of the most durable and experienced Hungarian journeymen around, and has gone the distance with the likes of Paulie Malignaggi, John O’Donnell, Aarron Morgan, and David Avanesyan among others. The 27 year old is a live foe, having upset undefeated prospect Zak Collins before, and regularly taking a few rounds off big names.

For southpaw Meli, it is a second fight under MTK, having made his comeback from over a year of inactivity recently against Anthony Fox.

A solid match-up, Meli will be hoping to grab a win here before turning his attention to domestic titles.
