Paulie Hyland- ready for American Lift Off
Paulie Hyland believes the brothers Hyland have a great chance to launch Stateside careers on Saturday night.
The Tallaght trio make their Team Snooki Boxing debuts in Atlantic City on an âIrish Invasionâ Card and Paulie is predicting Hyland lift off.
Patrick Hyland, the reigning Irish and WBF world featherweight champion, tackles Mexican veteran Emanuel Lucero [26-8-1, 14 KOs] in the eight-round main event.
While younger brother Paul Hyland [20-2, 6 KOs] is matched against Puerto Rican super bantamweight Arturo Santiago [7-4-1] in a six-rounder and Eddie Hyland [16-1, 6 KOs], the eldest sibling, squares off with Brooklyn resident Franklin Gonzalez [14-9, 10 KOs] over four rounds.
Team Hylandâs new relationship with reality TV sensation Snooki means their Final Round Promotions debut has resulted  in a lot more media attention than any other show the trio where involved in.
The youngest of the three boxing brothers seems to be embracing the spot light though and will use the attention to show case his talent to a wider audience.
âThis is a great test for everyone and hopefully it will be a launching pad for better things,â the 27 year old revealed before discussing his opponent Santiago. âHeâs small and tough and his four losses have been against undefeated guys. But he hasnât fought anyone of my caliber as of yet,â the former European Union titlist added.
Big Brother Eddie Hyland faces the once beaten Gonzalez and like his sibling is confident of victory.
âI know heâs a southpaw and thatâs all, but it doesnât bother me,â he shrugged. âAt the end of the day Iâll just go in the ring and do what Iâve got to do.â
