1932: The last ever Irish flyweight title fight. Reigning champion John McGreevy (known as Jackie Quinn [then 11-17-3]) from Pilot Street in Belfast defended his belt at Grosvenor Park against Dublin’s Billy Warnock [then 2-6-1].

Chief support for the clash came from Jackie Flynn and George Kelly, with Belfast’s Flynn outpointing the Dublin Olympian over ten.

In the main event it was McGreevy/Quinn who would retain his crown, outpointing Warnock over fifteen, and would later go on to win the Irish bantamweight title in 1935.
