There are plenty more fights to look forward to as we head towards the end of the year, and three of the biggest fights we can look forward to are the Anthony Joshua Vs Tyson Fury fight, the date for which has yet to be confirmed, and also the Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn fight on October 8th, and the Deontay Wilder vs Robert Helenius fight the following week (October 15th).
If that’s not enough to keep you going, we have also included several other major fights that are scheduled to take place between now and December 2022. Find out the exact dates for some of these fights right here.
Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn – October 8th
The Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn fight is a 157lbs catchweight fight that’s scheduled to take place at 22:00 GMT on Saturday, October 8th at the O2 Arena in London, UK. Both Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn have famous boxing dads who were relatively successful in their day, and it’s a historic fight that many sports fans from around the world will be eager to tune in and watch. There will be lots of impartial fans who will just want to see a good fight, whereas others will be backing Eubank Jr, while others will be backing Benn.
Some people are saying that Benn is far too small to be fighting Eubank, who has been competing as far up the chain as a super-middleweight, and others are saying that Eubank will have lost too much weight to fight Benn. If you look at the major sports betting sites, you will see that Chris Eubank Jr is currently priced at around -250 in American/Moneyline odds to win the fight outright.
When converted into UK fractional odds, this works out to 4/9, and when converted into European decimal odds, it works out to 1.44. In comparison, Conor Benn is currently priced at +175 (which is 7/4, or 2.75) to win the fight outright. Based on these odds, it looks as though Eubank Jr is the slight favourite to win.
Deontay Wilder vs Robert Helenius
The Deontay Wilder vs Robert Helenius fight is a heavyweight fight that’s scheduled to take place on October 15th at the Barclays Center, New York – Al Haymon’s PBC. The fight between these two titans was recently confirmed by promoter Frank Warren. Deontay Wilder is the former WBC heavyweight champion who hasn’t stepped in the ring since he lost to Tyson Fury in the trilogy clash last October.
His current record is 42-2-1, 41 Kos, compared to Helenius’ current record of 31-3, 20 Kos. Helenius will be confident going into the ring knowing that Wilder hasn’t had a victory since November 2019, when he beat Luis Ortez with a knockout in the seventh round. He has also put on a fair amount of weight in the past twelve months, which could make him slower. Helenius has the power to beat Wilder, and it will no doubt be a closely fought match.
Odds on Sports Betting Sites
Saying that, most of today’s major online sports betting sites currently have Wilder as the favourite to win the fight outright. Average prices have him at around -900 as the clear favourite (which is 1/9, or 1.11) to win. In comparison, Helenius, to win the fight outright, has odds of +450 (9/2, or 5.5).
