Weekend Preview: February 10-11th

The quiet Winter months are well and truly over.

Three of the four weekends in February see pro shows being ran in Ireland. This coming weekend is pro show free, however there are still Irish boxers in action on both sides of the Atlantic on Saturday night.

Peter McDonagh [27(3)-28(2)-1] features on the Lenny Daws v Anthony Yigit undercard at the Westcroft Leisure Centre in Surrey. The three-weight Irish champion, who has recently called for a bout with Conor McGregor, will box a to-be-confirmed foe on the bill.

At the Renaissance Palm Springs Hotel in California there is a second pro fight for Monaghan’s Larry Fryers [1(0)-0]. The New York-based Clones man, who will feature on the Mick Conlan Madison Square Garden debut card, will box debutant Rolando Padilla over four.

Finally, at the Wellsburg Firehall in West Virginia, there is a return to the ring for cruiserweight Sean Conway [2(0)-1(0)-1]. Tonka Truck is the eldest of the three boxing Conway brothers who are of Cork descent. The Mountaineer will face Randy Campbell [3(2)-18(7)] over four.
