THREE Massive All-Irish fights announced for Frampton v Donaire Undercard

Three massive All-Ireland domestic dust-ups have been confirmed for the undercard of Carl Frampton v Nonito Donaire in Belfast on Saturday April 21st.

Two-weight world champion Frampton takes on four-weight champion Donaire at the SSE Odyssey Arena in a featherweight title eliminator and a mouth-watering trio of support bouts have been announced.

At middleweight Conrad Cummings will take on Luke Keeler, Marco McCullough steps up to super featherweight to take on Jono Carroll, and there is a light welterweight grudge match between Tyrone McKenna and Phil Sutcliffe.

Finglas-Dunshaughlin entertainer Carroll [15(2)-0] puts his IBF East/West Europe belt on the line over twelve rounds versus Commonwealth and British title challenger McCullough [18(11)-4(3)].

In a bout mooted for years, WBO European middleweight champion Cummings [12(5)-1(0)-1] finally throws down with Irish champ Keeler [13(5)-2(1)]

Then, in a grudge match which has captured the imagination recently, Crumlin’s Sutcliffe [14(9)-2(1)] get the chance of an all-Irish fight against recent call-out McKenna [15(5)-0].

The trio of Ulster v Dublin fights, with all six fighters managed by MTK Global, represents one of the strongest cards in recent times on this island.

Indeed MTK Global’s Professional Development Coordinator Jamie Conlan believes that the undercard makes for one of the best pro shows in Irish boxing history.

“These are exactly the type of fights we want to make going forward –good domestic fights that are 50-50 and very difficult to call,” said Conlan. “We have three great all-Irish fights booked already and it’s really shaping up to be a fantastic bill – possibly the best to take place in Belfast and Ireland.”
