National Elite Senior Championships – Day 2

The National Elite Senior Championships resume this evening in Dublin.

Last night saw plenty of big fights and a fair few eyebrow-raising results, a trend which hopefully continues throughout the tournament.

9 semi final spots are up for grabs tonight on the South Circular Road.

Tonight sees European bronze medallist Dean Walsh make the step up to welterweight in search of four Irish titles in a row. Here he will face Dungloe’s IATBA champ Mark McCole who last night scored a great win over the experienced Fergal Redmond.

Also tonight, Commonwealth Youth silver medalist Brett McGinty will make his Elite debut against Ulster champion Ross Boyle.

Entry payable at door: Adults – €15. Children (U-14) – €5.
