Patrick ‘Pajo’ Hyland delivered on his promise to Irish-boxing.com to get rid of Maneul de los Reyes Herrera within five rounds at Madison Square Garden on Saturday night with an impressive fourth round KO win.
The Tallaght featherweight used his jab well throughout and landed with eye catching combinations to the head and body of the Columbian.
Hyland upped the pressure in the fourth round and landed a sweet right uppercut that put Herrera to his knees.
The Columbian could not beat the 10 count and Hyland claimed the victory that takes his record 30-1 (14 KOs).
Hyland hopes to be out again next month in America as he seeks to move into contention for a title shot.
