Former Irish champ Gavin wins on Bad Blood card

FROMER Irish champion Frankie Gavin made the fourth defence of his British Welterweight title and regained his Commonwealth title with a unanimous points win over Bradley Skeete on the Bad Blood card on Saturday night.

Gavin came out of the a chess match with a 116-113, 116-113, 116-112 points win, but by most assessment the fight could have gone either way.

The counter punching duo shared 12 close rounds, but the more experienced Gavin came out on top.
