‘Expect fireworks’- Warren predicts exciting Tennyson Walsh title fight
It’s set to play out five months short of Halloween but Frank Warren is predicting ‘fireworks’ when Ryan Walsh and James Tennyson meet.
Belfast prospect Tennyson has just signed to Warren’s Queensberry promotions and will challenge his new promotional stablemate for the British title in London on April 30.
The fighter plays out on the undercard of Billy Joe Saunders first defence of the WBO middleweight world title he took from Andy Lee last December and Warren suggests it could steal the show.
The UK promoter believes Tennyson’s challenge is a “banger of a fight.”
“Ryan Walsh v James Tennyson for the British will be a cracker,” he said. “We’ll see some fireworks in that one.”
