Connor Coyle to feature on Comeback Card of former World Champion

Connor Coyle [4(1)-0] will make his return to the ring next month and take a step-up on a high-profile card.

The Derry light middleweight, who has relocated to Florida for his pro career, will box again at the A La Carte Pavilion in Tampa on the comeback card of former IBF super middleweight champion Jeff Lacy [27(18)-6(3)] on Friday May 12th.

‘Left Hook’ Lacy, who trains with Coyle in St Petersburg, is returning to the ring after over two years away for the card titled ‘The Rebirth of Left Hook Lacy.’ The American will be 40 by the time the fight comes around.

The fight will be Coyle’s first over six rounds following a successful first chapter of his paid career.

The 2014 Commonwealth bronze medalist began his pro career with a quick knockout of Euris Silverio at the A La Carte Pavilion before two points wins over Santos Medrano and Miguel Aguilar at the National Stadium in Dublin. The former St Joseph’s amateur then scored another dominant points win over Daruma Almenarez on St Patrick’s Day at the A La Carte.
