‘All Good’ – Michael Conlan Shares Message With Fans

Michael Conlan has assured fans he is ‘all good’ following his dramatic and heartbreaking knockout defeat to Leigh Wood in Nottingham last night.

The Belfast featherweight had dropped the WBA champion heavily in the first round and was up on the cards but was knocked out on his feet in the twelfth round before falling heavily through the ropes.

There was immediate concern in the Motorpoint Arena as Conlan was stretchered out of the venue and brought straight to hospital.

It was last night confirmed the Irish favourite was conscious and stable – and this morning the fighter himself reassured he was ‘all good’.

“I’m all good, I’m just getting checked up in the hospital. The CT scan is all clear,” Conlan said in a video posted online.

“Congrats to Leigh Wood, congrats to his team, that was the best shot of the night he got me with at the end. But it is what it is, I’ll be back.”
