19 July 2010 – Cormac Campbell
Declan Trainor will make his professional debut against Jamie Bogavic at Sydneys Assyrian Sports and Culture Club on Thursday, July 22.
The four round contest sees former Irish Under 19 champion Trainor take on Australian Bogavic 1-0 (1KO) at cruiserweight. The Warrenpoint native had previously been scheduled to make his debut at heavyweight but will be happy to learn that the bout will take place at the lower 200lb marker. Trainor has been preparing for the contest at the renowned Harrys Gym in Perth.
The bout takes place on the undercard of IBO lightweight champion Leonardo Zappavignas, 23-0 (15KO) contest with Billy Sumba, 18-1-1 (4KO) at Assyrian Sports & Culture Club. The bill, which is being promoted by former World Champion Jeff Fenech, will be televised in Australia on Fox TV.
