MGM and Warren planning regular Dublin shows

BOXNATION and Frank Warren’s visit to Ireland won’t be a fleeting one claims Team Warren’s Richard Maynard.

Maynard revealed the plan for the British promoter is to work with MGM in Ireland on a regular basis and bring permanent big time boxing back to the Dublin.

Speaking at the press conference to announce the July 4 National Stadium hosted New Beginning card Maynard revealed a September return is on the cards.

‘We’re bringing big-time boxing back to Dublin,’ said Maynard. ‘It’s been starved of boxing for the last few years so we’re delighted to come back here and bring regular fights.’

“Frank Warren in association with MGM and Boxnation are hoping to be here on a regular basis. It is a long term regular investment. We are looking to get this show done first, but hopefully we will be back in early September. The July 4 show has already been received well. 1900 tickets have already been sold so there are only a couple of hundred left.”
