Winless warrior Alec Bazza gunning for first victory tonight

Belfast light welterweight warrior Alec Bazza [0-12(2)-1] will man the home corner tonight for the first time in his career.

‘The Belfast Spartan’ is one of Ireland’s busiest pros, frequently fighting at the York Hall on Goodwin Promotions cards, absorbing punishment and showing prospects the ropes in his role as noble journeyman.

Tonight at the Red Cow however, Bazza will be boxing to win. The 27 year old is a late addition to the Tony Davitt-promoted show in Dublin.

Here Bazza faces experienced Bulgarian Yordan Vasilev [17(4)-41(15)-2], a fighter with plenty of experience of Irish boxers having previously clashed with Pajo Hyland, James Fryers, Paul Hyland Jr, Mickey Coveney, and Finbarr Eade.

All five Irishmen have beaten the 32 year old and tonight, hopefully, Bazza will become number six
