It promises to be a busy Saturday across the Irish Sea, with shows taking place the length and breath of Britain involving numerous Irish fighters.

In Scotland at the Bellahouston Leisure Centre in Glasgow there are run outs for Dublin duo Stephen Ormond and Declan Geraghty. Geraghty [12(3)-1(0))] is back in action following his career-best win during the Summer over Eusebio Osejo.

Moving south, at the Old Trafford cricket ground in Manchester, Tipperary heavyweight Con Sheehan [2(0)-0] fights for the second time in a week. Also appearing on the Dennis Hobson-promoted show will be Matty Mainwaring [3(0)-0], the former Irish underage international footballer-turner-middleweight prospect faces Yailton Neves.

On the undercard at the Bethnal Green venue, light middleweight Aarron Morgan [11(8)-0] takes on the rugged Laszlo Fazekas. Light middleweight journeyman Paul O’Brien [0-20(3)] may also harbour dreams of a first victory when he takes on British-based Bulgarian Mario Petrov..

Finally, there is a huge opportunity on Saturday in Norway for young Shannon Edge. The Kildare teen, who boxes out of Edenderry BC, travels to the Oslo and The Spectrum arena where she will face Madeleine Angelsen on a special undercard bout. The amateur clash is part of the homecoming of unified welterweight Queen Cecilia Braekhus who defends her titles against France’s Anne Sophie Mathis live on Norwegian television and in front of a sold-out crowd of 10,000.
