It’s a very busy weekend ahead for Irish fighters across the globe.

On Thursday night at the Danforth Music Hall in Toronto Irish-Canadian light heavyweight Tim Cronin [7(2)-1(0)-1] takes on Kristof Demendi over six.

On Saturday morning in Australia Joe Rea [10(4)-29(12)-5] has a four round bout with Chinese contender Yong Zhang at the North Sydney Rugby League Club.

That night in Plymouth, Irish-Guernsey middleweight Tom Duff [2(0)-0] makes his return to the ring after over twenty months for a four round bout against a to be confirmed opponent at the Guild Hall.

In Leeds at the First Direct Arena there is the first big card of the evening. Headlining will be Dublin’s Pajo Hyland [31(15)-2(1)], with the Jobstown featherweight taking on Matchroom star Josh Warrington.

Appearing on the undercard in Yorkshire will be bantamweight Ryan Burnett [13(9)-0] who takes on Mexican Cesar Ramirez. Also featured will be Frankie Gavin [22(13)-2(1)], who makes his return to the ring following his World title loss last year to Kell Brook. The former Irish light welterweight champion is up against Croatian journeyman Ivo Gogosevic.

Across the Atlantic on the US East Coast there is a Murphy’s Boxing card in Plymouth, Massachusetts. Wexford heavyweight Niall Kennedy [4(2)-0] faces Willie Palms, while Athlone welter Paddy Irwin [1(1)-0] is in against Khaaliq Core.

Finally, in New York there is the big one at the Barclays Centre where Carl Frampton [22(14)-0] challenges for Leo Santa Cruz’s WBA featherweight crown. On the undercard in Brooklyn, Tyrone middleweight Conrad Cummings [9(4)-0-1] fights in an eight-round bout.
