Seven weeks ago Dublin lightweight Jamie Kavanagh [20(10)-1(1)-1] went under the knife for career-saving surgery

During his tough apprenticeship in America the Crumlin boxer had sustained third cranial nerve damage in his right eye, which left him suffering from headaches and double vision for around two years. The injury, which he kept undisclosed, left him in danger of his retina falling off.

Thankfully the surgery was a success, and ‘The Nuisance’ was back in the Monster Gym in London just two weeks later and today he posted footage of him looking sharp on the aqua bag ahead of a 2017 return to the ring.
