Top Tallinn-ts: Wins for Tennyson and Fryers in Estonia

There were two quick knockout victories at the weekends for Belfast prospects James Tennyson and James Fryers in Estonia. Fighting on Saturday in Tallinn on a Robert Helenius undercard, the Mark Dunlop-promoted pair speedily dispatched Latvian opposition.

BBBoC featherweight champ Tennyson took less than a round to dispose of Sergejs Logins, who has also suffered first round stoppages to both Fryers and Marco McCullough. The Kronk boxer, who is due to fight in a final eliminator for the British title, had his Baltic foe down twice with bodyshots.

Super featherweight Fryers took slightly longer to take out Ruslans Berdimuradovs, who survived a count to make it to the second round before being overwhelmed by the quality of the Belfast man.

After their wins on the internet PPV card at the Seaplane Harbour, Tennyson and Fryers’s records now read 15(12)-1(1) and 11(4)-0 respectively.
