WATCH: Irish boxers win Lip Sync Battle competition with brilliant performance

It seems that Belfast’s boxing stars are not just talented in the ring, they can also be stars of the stage – well, at least Tommy McCarthy and Ray Ginley can.

The British cruiserweight title hopeful and the retired light heavyweight prospect recently participated in a lip sync battle tournament at the Devenish Venue in aid of Belfast football club Ford FC.

The former Oliver Plunkett amateur team mates stormed to top prize with two crowd-pleasing performances of Will Smith’s ‘Men in Black’ and Outkast’s ‘Hey Ya.’

The punching pair went all the way, kitting themselves out brilliantly and getting the crowd on their feet with a particularly enthusiastic rendition of Hey Ya.

Watch videos of the two performances (as well as the encore) below:

Tommy McCarthy fights England’s Matty Askin in a British title final eliminator next month, and if he doesn’t use Hey Ya as his ringwalk music and throw in a few of those moves we will be very disappointed.
