Victor Rabei will get the chance to live the American Dream.

The undefeated lightweight has penned a promotional contract with Star Boxing and will fight Stateside for the foreseeable future.

In fact the Moldovan Dub will make his American debut as soon as December 13.

Rabei will fight on the New England Explosion card at the Massmutual Center alongside local talent such as Richie ‘Popeye the Sailor Man’ Rivera and ‘Action’ Anthony Laureno.

‘Slick’ Vic joins Waterford welterweight Dylan Moran on the books of Star Boxing – and just like the ‘The Real Deal’ the Steven O’Rourke trained fighter hasn’t been given an ‘gimme’ start.

The 24-year-old will trade leather with Omar Bordoy early next month.

Borody, may not have the amateur pedigree nor the punching power of Dennis Okoth, Moran’s Star debut foe, but he comes to the ring with nine wins from 10 fights.

The American certainly looks a step up for the BUI Celtic Champion, who has fought the likes of Karl Kelly, Jake Hanney and Mark Morris.

Rabei has been a popular addition to the pro ranks since turning over in the Summer of 2017. He has developed a following, took on challenges and looked like he could be one of a few that could play a part in reinvigorating Dublin boxing.

His TG4 broadcast victory over Hanney early this year looked the perfect platform for him to kick on at home. However, the fall of Assassin Promotions in Ireland and the subsequent lack of shows meant Rabei has only fought once since- and that fight was a four rounder in Belfast.

Now the Dubliner will go a different path and has the chance to progress his career significantly with the American link up.

Slater Sports confirmed the move and the fight tonight via social media:

“The American Dream

“Undefeated lightweight sensation Victor Rabei has put pen to paper on a promotional deal with American outfit Star Boxing

“Rabei will fight on both sides of the Atlantic as he continues his career

“He will face Omar Bordoy on December 13th to kickstart his American journey.”
