Team Ireland ready for European Women and Youth Championship

The 2014 European Women’s Youth and Junior Championships will be held in the PalaEventi venue in picturesque town of  Santa Maria degli Angelia (Saint Mary of the Angels), less than a mile south of Assisi between July 20th and 27th.
97 Youth and 103 Juniors boxers will compete at the event.  Click here for invitation letter and schedule for 2014 European Women’s youth and Junior Championships.
Team Ireland are currently in training camp at the St Brigid’s BC in Co. Offaly ahead of the 26-nation tournament which begins on July 20th.
“Everything is on target, weights everything, said Irish coach Liam Brereton.
“The girls are putting in an exceptional training camp. Everything here is perfect, facilities, accommodation, and the squad are getting a lot of hard work down.
“We have a strong Youth and Junior team going to the Europeans. We have Amy and Kristina, both European and European Union champions, and lot of rest of the squad have international experience and they have all won titles.”
The Irish team depart from their training camp at midday on Saturday for Dublin Airport en route to Italy.  The team flies out at 3:20pm.
