Spike O’Sullivan: I have abstained from sex to make me more aggressive

GARY ‘Spike’ O’Sullivan got up close and personal planting a kiss on the cheek of Anthony Fitzgerald at the final Return Of The Mack press conference on Wednesday, but the Smock Alley smacker is the only intimate action the Cork fighter has had over the last six weeks.

The Celtic Warrior Gym middleweight revealed he has abstained from sex for the build up to his grudge match with Anthony Fitzgerald.

And the former Irish champion, who cut a relaxed and calm figure at the press conference, believes his lack of intimate relations means he will be stronger and more aggressive than his foe on the Sky Sports broadcast bad blood bout.

“This is the first time I have abstained from sex before a fight. I have abstained for six weeks and I think it is important. I am feeling really good and strong and there will be a big difference in this fight. I am going to be really strong and aggressive in this fight and I think that will be a big advantage for me. I will be the stronger guy in the ring.”
