Darragh Foley [17(9)-4(0)-1] returns to the ring for the first time in less than a months time.

‘Super’ suffered a fourth career defeat when fellow skilled fight builder Tyrone McKenna defeated him at the Ulster Hall in a light wleterweight ranking title fight back in June.

McKenna has since gone on to secure a spot in the 140lbs Golden Contract tournament, while Foley hasn’t traded leather since.

However, the Australian based Dub, who has shown bounce-back-ability on more than once occasion throughout his career, returns on November 16.

The 31-year-old, who also recently lost to Hakem Ennis Brown, returns to Oz and will fight at the Horden Pavilion in Sydney.

It’s not a ‘gimme’ return for the Blanch native. The formerly world ranked power puncher takes on none other than James ‘Bring Home The’ Bacon on the November card.

Bacon [23(15)-3(1)-1] is a Philippine fighter with a good paper credentials. The 29-year-old has fought all his career in the Philippines and travels abroad for the first time to fight, which leaves him somewhat of an unknown.

However, he comes with 23 wins to his name, 15 of which came by way of knockout, suggesting he does pose a threat, although it has to be noted Foley is not one for being stopped.

For Foley it’s a chance to put a foe with a strong record on his slate and start progressing back toward title and bigger name fights.

In more Down Under related news Nathan Watson has turned over in Australia.

The Belfast welterweight has teamed up with Fortitude Boxing Team and Eureka Promotions and has already started his first pro camp.
